Debate Club
Debate Club gives students of LISSAH a way of developing their oracy skills. This club use different activities to help students with their critical thinking and confident communication. The club could also help students to become more informed about political and global affairs, or provide a venue for students to train for debate competitions at local or university level.
Aims and Objectives
To enhance students’ oratory and elocution skills
To provide a significant training ground for the development of students’ communicative abilities
To train the students to express themselves eloquently and confidently
To motivate students’ critical thinking
To help students to increase their interest towards debate and English
To understand and communicate various forms of arguments effectively in a variety of contexts
To conduct researches using multiple sources to support a position in a debate
To generate effective critical thinking into primary issues in a given topic
To participate effectively in situations where decisions must be made
